Armageddon Art
There is art around every turn in the D. You just need to know where to look. We have art other citys would turn and run away from. Detroit just keeps it around to house the homeless and give taggers a place to work. The images are amazing. You can almost see the throngs of people back in the heyday. Now it's a photographer's paradise, as long as they're strapped.

Urban exploration in the city could be a full time job. Luckily someone has the time. Our friends over at SweetJuniper do great justice to some of the city's lost architecture. Check out some of their images on Flickr:

You can also read their blog at: http://www.sweet-juniper.com/
For another trip check this abandonded police station. This isn't even that long ago that the man decided to shift patrols to the county rather than the city cops. Insane:

We will return to your regularly scheduled programing after we get a new camera. GRRRR. For now enjoy the scenery.

Homie looks a little tired here. It's one a of the few shots we mustered up from this weekend in Glennie. We were too busy pulling acorns outta his grill...

Fall Retrospect
Its been a while since I've posted, sorry. It's been a fun fall, here are a few photos that were saved from the cutting room floor.
A few deer in the backyard enjoying a little sun. Deer season opens soon, too bad you can't hunt on the island, we have waaaay to many of these guys.

Sue acting surprised at her surprise 40th birthday party.

Care and an alaskan dogsledder.

Grandpa D and a cranky Spartan.

Coop comtemplating life, leaves and too big mittens.

A toasty fire that took at least two hours to get rolling. Jake ran out of gas but paint thinner worked alright.

Co-pilot Pete on the way to Port Huron to stash the Supra.

Its that time of year again. Backin er in one more time for a little well-deserved hibernation. Broken drive shaft and all. See you in the spring...
