Care's 29th birthday!

We celebrated Care's bday by going out for sushi. It was great until somebody got crabby, Mason that is. Luckily the crazy old sushi chef had some japanese cookies for the little guy. This is the best pic of his prize I could muster. I wish I had a pic of the crazy chef...

It's Spring! Sort of...

We saw our first 50 degree day this week. So we decided to start our pontoon project. It's just another chapter in our never ending quest to not leave well enough alone. It was a perfectly fine pontoon, but it only had one problem. It was still stock. So we decided to pull her out of the lift where she slept all winter. Of course the day we planned for wasn't too spring like.

Uncle Dave was on hand to help. Of course you can't work on a boat in the middle of a snow storm with out a cold one, so...

The dogs really helped out alot. I'm surprised they didn't get hypothermia from jumping in the water that the ice just thawed from...

Of course the Titan didn't flinch yanking out the water-logged behemoth...

Operation complete. Well sort of.

Spring Snow

50 degrees on Thursday and 10" of snow on Friday. Ya gotta love spring in the midwest. The ice has been out for a couple weeks now and it doesn't look this snow will be around for long either. I think we are all ready for summer...

Speaking of summer, here are a few pics that just got developed from an old disposable camera we just found.

Deer Suicide

So, in the process of trying to get an upset grom to fall asleep we took the long way home by the airport. Apparently, deer suicides are up this time of year because a really good sized doe ran into the side of the Escapade...

Check the amount of fur between the rim and tire, that says alot. I bet she was doing 25 when she t-boned us. She locked up the brakes, but hooves and asphalt don't yield much traction. I will never forget that site. Kinda like Bambi on the ice, sorry for that visual ;)

It may have been nature's way of saying that we need to be an all Nissan family. Too bad it's only a rental : (

Cooper's One Year Old!

Here's some pics from Coop's first birthday party. It's getting really fun to see all these little dudes playing together. I have a feeling were ALL in for it when they become more mobile.

Some say they look alike, hmmm...

Grandpa Dave and some kid.

Bfffffs or something like that, NBD.

We gave Coop the prototype of our "Peel & Stick Cousin" line ;) We are still experimenting with different adhesives, but I figure if anyone can fix drywall it's Coop's dad, Jake. It's basically an expansion on the Fathead idea (http://www.fathead.com/).
